Please share this application with others who might be interested in nominating someone. Deadline is Feb. 10. Click here for the application.

The Santa Margarita 2013 Above & Beyond Award will be presented to a Santa Margarita District Eagle over the age of 21 who is still serving his community and the Scouting program. He need not have earned his Eagle rank in our District. Please look around your own unit and our community and see who you can nominate for this award. Applications for the 2014 Belcher Eagle Scout Scholarship are now available. Each year, San Diego Imperial Council awards three scholarships of $3,500 each per year for the first two years of a four-year university. Applicants must be graduating Eagle scouts, and applications are due by April 30, 2014. Don’t delay, get the application here.

The Santa Margarita District Eagle Dinner in no way takes the place of the San Diego-Imperial Council Eagle Dinner. The Council Eagle Dinner is Tuesday, April 29, and we encourage every adult to attend both dinners if possible.

National Summertime Pack Award

A pack can earn the National Summertime Pack Award by doing three pack activities when school is out for the summer—one activity each in June,July, and August. Packs that qualify get a colorful streamer for their packflag. Dens that have at least half of their members at the three summer pack events can earn a den ribbon. Pack members who take part in all three events are eligible for the National Summertime Pack Award pin, to wear on the right pocket flap of their uniform.

If a pack is in a “year-round school” (or is part of a home-school association), the pack could earn the Summertime Pack Award by having a special pack activity during school breaks.
