Carlsbad: Two earn Eagle Scout awards

Gavin McMahan and Grant Perdue, members of Boy Scout Troop 716 of Carlsbad 3, recently received their Eagle Scout Awards. Gavin installed a chain-link fence at Calavera Hills Middle School and Grant cleared the ground and installed sprinklers at Orchard Park at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel on Chestnut Avenue.

VISTA: Scout earns Eagle award

Jacob Haproff of Vista Boy Scout Troop 722 recently finished the requirements to earn his Eagle Scout Award. Jacob’s Eagle project was to build and install two benches for the City of Vista Conservancy Nature Trail.

CARLSBAD: Optimists support Eagle scout project

Mark Beyer of Boy Scout Troop 750 in Carlsbad recently gave a presentation to the Optimist Club of Carlsbad, “The Achievers,” regarding his Eagle Scout project, which was installing a seating wall and stairs to replace the bare dirt slope at Aviara Oaks Middle School.

OCEANSIDE: Eagle Scout landscapes for church

Travis Russell of Oceanside Troop 752 has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle leadership project, Travis did a landscaping project for First Presbyterian Church in Oceanside.

CARLSBAD: Eagle Scout builds benches

Santa Margarita District and Carlsbad Boy Scout Troop 745 recently announced that Brian Oh has earned his Eagle rank. Brian’s Eagle project was to build benches for Calavera Hills Elementary School in Carlsbad.

VISTA: Scouts earn Eagle status

Graham Hettinger, left, and Daniel Friebe of Vista Venturing Crew 702 recently earned their Eagle Scout Awards. Daniel’s Eagle service project was to landscape and build benches for the city of Vista at the Rancho Santa Fe Adobe. Graham’s Eagle service project was to build magazine racks and DVD shelf systems for the Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts.

PENDLETON: Project aids wounded warriors

Cameron Keith of Boy Scout Troop 789 from Camp Pendleton recently earned his Eagle Rank. Cameron’s Eagle project was to build a wheelchair-accessible duck blind on Camp Pendleton for wounded warrior hunters, which took 362 hours to complete.

OCEANSIDE: Scout tapped for Eagle honors

Tyrone Scott, 16, of the Santa Margarita District, Oceanside Boy Scout Team 701 has earned his Eagle rank. Tyrone’s Eagle project was building a trail for the Capistrano Hiking Trail in Oceanside.

FALLBROOK: Scout ascends to Eagle rank

Daniel Witzel, a member of Fallbrook Troop 739, earned his Eagle Scout rank. He did a landscaping project at the Angel Society Shop in Fallbrook.
